Synthetic Medicinal Chemist (Scientist)
- Job description
About Us
We are an early-stage start up unlocking the next generation of molecular glues by utilising our unique computational platform. We have several active programs spanning a range of mechanisms and disease areas. We are headquartered in London, with laboratory facilities in Stevenage.
Your Profile
We are looking for intellectually curious and driven synthetic medicinal chemists who are passionate about unlocking the next generation of small molecule therapeutics. You would thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, working on multiple projects simultaneously and enjoying the challenge of solving complex problems. You’re motivated to make impactful contributions to research in AI-enabled targeted protein degradation and induced proximity.
Your Role
Join the Drug Discovery Team in London, reporting to the Head of Drug Discovery, Adam Yip
Help to advance our molecular glue discovery projects
Contribute to the design and optimisation of novel compounds across multiple therapeutic projects.
Lead external synthetic efforts at CROs, including troubleshooting of synthetic routes and analysis of QC data, ensuring accurate record keeping to support future publications and patents
Work closely with our computational scientists to develop and apply the TernaryTx platform to projects, and provide expert feedback to improve our products
Manage our compound registration and logistics processes across four locations and work closely with our internal biology team to make sure compounds are available for assays in a timely manner
Hybrid working between our London and Stevenage offices (at least 3 days/week for the first 6 months while you get up to speed)
This is primarily a desk-based role. TernaryTx currently outsource all of our synthetic chemistry
